So I’ve been watching eBay trying to find a good deal on a triathlon bike for quite some time now. I’ve placed a couple initial bids on items and watched as the price got too rich for me. Well last week I put a bid on a frame and fork on an auction with a week or so to go. I was the first bid and pretty surprised when I got an email saying I won the item. So this page will get updated as I scrounge up some more money for the parts I need to get it rolling!

01.19.2012 – The frame and fork, found out the headset that came with the auction isn’t going to work out. Have another one on order so I can atleast attach the fork to the frame and hang it with the other bikes.

01.22.2012 – New headset came today, looks like I’ll have lots of room for the stem compared to the other one. 🙂

01.22.2012 – Fork installed, starting to look more like a bike already!

02.28.2012 – Handle bars installed, looks like I need at least another 2 mm spacer, hoping one of the shops around here has one…

03.03.2012 – Seat, seat post, tires.

03.27.2012 – Cassette and crankset.

03.28.2012 – Finished minus the handlebar tape, took it around the block!

04.11.2012 – Lots of tweaking in the cockpit, hoping this works better than my jersey back pocket.
