Looking at the cost of the high end stands, I figured I could build something sturdy and for a fraction of the cost.  Borrowing the idea from the internet here is what I came up with.<\/p>\n<p>Initial testing of the bike stand and all appears well.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"..\/images\/bike_in_stand.jpg\" alt=\"Bike In Stand\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I wanted to make an addition to the pipe clamp to have a couple blocks of wood that went around the bike tubing.  This should help me from accidentally crushing\/denting any tubes.  I really should have had a bigger spade bit, but I managed to make the hole big enough to slide some what easily on the pipe.  The other issue I ran into was attaching the wood to the clamp itself.
