The door was attached on one side using a couple zip ties.  Eventually the bolt holding the other side together rusted out and one day I got home from work to find the door in the middle of the road.<\/p>\n<p>I tried using zip ties on both sides, but this didn&#8217;t work out so well and I knew we had to do something serious about it.  One plan was to shove a new, smaller mailbox inside the current one&#8230; this might have worked, but would probably have been a frustrating project to take on.<\/p>\n<p>I did some research on the internet and found a company that sells the door part of the mailbox.  All I had to do was cut away the existing mailbox, slide it in, use a few screws and a little caulk and we would have a mailbox.  What did this project need&#8230; more power!  <\/p>\n<p>I set off to Home Depot and picked up a angle grinder and started cutting!
